Struggling Faces

       Recently I interviewed two young actors Yogesh Patil and Teertha Khaklary form rural India who got selected in National School of Drama . They were among the 20 students selected from all over India for Theater in Education Course in National School of Drama (Tripura) .       सैराट आल्यानंतर आपल्या सगळ्यांना वाटलं कि आरची आणि परश्या सोबत जे झालं ते खूप चुकीचं होतं. पण थेटर मधून बाहेर पडल्यानंतर जात आणि धर्म पुन्हा आपल्या मनावर आरूढ झालेत . आजही  भारतात सारख्या जातीत आणि धर्मात लग्न लावून देण्याचं प्रमाण खूप आहे. आपला हट्ट असतो तो. दुसऱ्या जातीत किंवा धर्मात लग्नं केलं तर समाजातून बहिष्कृत केलं जातं अनेकांना .      संविधानाच्या पहिल्या पानावर भारतीय समाज कसा असायला हवा याचा संदर्भ दिलेला आहे. त्याला आपण प्रास्ताविक म्हणतो. मग त्यात अनेक गोष्टी दिल्या आहेत . त्यात न्याय , स्वातंत्र्य , समता आणि बंधुता या ४ गोष्टी प्रवर्धित करण्याचा संकल्प करतोय असा म्हटलंय. ७० वर्ष उलटून गेलीत . पण भारतीय समाज आजही जातीयवादाच्या विळख्यातून बाहेर पडलेला नाही. धार्मिक आणि जातीय ध्रुवीकरण प्रचंड प्रमाणात वाढलंय. आज आपण आपला नेता जात आणि धर्म पाहून निवडतो. आपण अशा टोकावर येऊन पोहोचलोय जिथे नेत्याला विरोध करणं म्हणजे धर्माला विरोध करणं,आणि धर्माला विरोध करणं  म्हणजेच देशाला विरोध करणं झालंय. धार्मिक आणि जातीयवादी कत्तली आपल्याला रोजच्या...

       Film is a medium to express . Some are short while some are long films to which we call ‘ movie’. Many times it happens that some films really touch your heart even if they are not in 100 Crore club. While some high budget and high earning films are just commercial. Apart from business , films should express the grass root issues just like the film ‘MULK’ . This is just another example. There are some short films which I think have a deep understanding of the real issue they are presenting before us. They are appealing . Recently we experienced various films in the market that were literally made to generate  a political opinion in the favor or in opposition of a political party or a leader. I do not want to name them. But despite this , there are some short films which pose a question before us and makes us think.                   The choices we made under the name of development are bearing fruits in the form of pandemics, global climate change, population explosion ,rising sea levels, depleting natural resources, energy crisis, etc. We have developed a concrete jungle in which robots are living not human beings. When I was a child I was having a big playground to play. We literally played in soil, dancing ,running, falling, getting injured and what not. Now there are no playgrounds . So the children’s have shortened their playground on a 5 by 6 inch mobile. Today’s generation kids no longer play football , hide n seek in open. These games are a luxury for elite children’s whose parents can afford flats in big enclaves offering playground, gyms, swimming pools,etc. This will be huge setback for the health and immunity of kids in future. India has always been a supporter of the democratically elected Afghan Government. India has worked consistently for the development of Afghanistan and the prosperity of its people. Apart from strategic importance of Afghanistan in Geo-political world , India has always striven for peace in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is a link to south Asia for trade. Taliban , which is the terrorist organisation with UN sanctions has always created violence in Afghan soil to grab the political power . सारी मनुष्यजातियों के गिद्धों तुम्हारा कल्याण हो । जातपात के स्वागत के लिए भौंकने वाले नेताओ तुम्हारा कल्याण हो । जीतेजी नहीं थी वो जरुरत आज है , पुतलों को संरक्षण की , जीतेजी नहीं थी वो जरुरत आज है , पुतलों को संरक्षण की , विटंबना करने वाले उन महापही हाथों का कल्याण हो । एक बापू नामक मनुष्य और उसकी लाठी हमारे साथ थी , एक बापू नामक मनुष्य और उसकी लाठी हमारे साथ थी , लेकिन बापू तुम्हारा तो हमने कबका खून कर दिया । तभी से हमे आदत लग गयी है , मंदिर और मस्जिद के नाम पर लड़ने की और धर्म के नाम पर दंगे भड़काने की । उन सारे देशद्रोहियोका कल्याण हो।
